As of this writing (Thursday; 7:32 PM), The Smurfs has an 11% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. For those unfamiliar with the site and their rating system, that’s pretty much the exact same thing as getting an 11 on your 3rd grade social studies test. Putrid.
Because I’m addicted to movies, and there isn’t much anything else that catches my eye at the moment, I’m probably going to see The Smurfs anyway, if for no other reason than most critics are have their heads shoved so far up their smurfholes that they could tell you what they smurfed for lunch.
- I love these street sign ads and the regular CGI posters I've seen around bus shelters.
And because Foo-gos.com is evolving into a a pop culture food art site, there’s a good chance I may even Foogosize the Smurfs sooner rather than later.
That said, anyone got any suggestions for how to go about this? My buddy Brad suggested a Smurf sculpture made of Airheads. To be honest, I’m kind of in love with this idea, but I still want to hear more suggestions from you. So let me have it in the comments section of this blog, or over at the official Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
