That’s the clean-up of the Sidney Crosby piece. (I still have the mixed up baby food in my mini-fridge under my desk at work.) Now here’s the original photo from which I sketched my contour lines in the first place.
I needed a good shot that included Crosby’s full face (duh). The numbers, logo or captaincy were all a welcome bonus. I would have taken any one of the three, and wound up with two (the C and the logo). Those extras were important because when I’m sketching portraits, my drawing style simplifies the features into basic shapes. It makes it a lot easier to convert the drawing to food and also hides a lot of the troubles I have when it comes to rendering faces accurately with a lot of detail. (I am NOT very good at this AT ALL.)
