I
‘m particularly excited about this new piece, inspired by McDonald’s famous fries. This artwork is a pixel creation that closely aligns with my “Foogos” style. If you’ve seen my Batman portraits made with gummi bears, you’ll recognize the technique—it’s all about building an image through tiny, colorful elements. However, what sets this piece apart is its versatility. Unlike most of my Foogos, which are best viewed from a distance to fully appreciate the image, this one maintains its visual impact both up close and from afar. The result is a fun and engaging exploration of perspective, where the simple yet iconic image of McDonald’s fries takes on new life in pixel form. Keep an eye out for more pieces like this as I continue to push the boundaries of what Foogos can be!
My creative process often involves experimenting with unconventional materials, and one of my favorite techniques has been using gummi bears to create pixelated portraits. This method, which I’ve applied to a series of Batman portraits, essentially treats each gummi bear as a pixel, building a vibrant and textured image from these tiny, colorful candies. The same principle guided my latest project: a rendition of McDonald’s fries.
In this piece, I’ve taken the familiar, beloved shape of McDonald’s fries and approached it with the same pixelated style. The result is an artwork that can be appreciated both up close, where you can see the individual “pixels,” and from a distance, where the full image comes into focus. It’s a playful exploration of how everyday objects can be reimagined through the lens of pixel art, turning something as simple as fast food into a unique visual experience.
